This week we are reviewing central message and author’s purpose of fiction texts. Students learn that the central message is what lesson the author is trying to teach us. We will also be focusing on what the key details are in the story, and how they can help us identify the central message. We will be reading some fun books like The Boy Who Cried Wolf.
Students will be continuing their work on writing informational reports. This week our focus will be on learning how to edit their reports with a peer to make sure they have everything they need in order to have a complete report.
This week we are wrapping up both measurement and graphing.
